Powell- ON!
We've been doing the fall runs to Lake Powell and the fishing has been great. Not too many pics on this trip because we were just fishing too hard- but we nailed the stripers, patterned the crappie and whooped up on bass. This lake is too good to pass up in the fall- If you haven't been, get here now!

Spawn Time
The browns have continued to spawn and slam baits presented in their zone. We are slaying nice fish and releasing all to swim again and make more fish. The numbers are up and this doesn't get old- gotta love the Colorado River!!

Brown Town!
Sorry for the no up-date guys! We've been cleaning kokanee blood off of everything we own for weeks! Anyway, Lake Powell is heating up and this cold front should bring it together. The brown fishing on the Colorado has been insane! 20+ fish a day up to 22 inches. We release all these spawners but fight 'em until the end. The Pike fishing has been good and the big boys are really biting. (These are last years' pics, but don't worry , we'll have new one up soon!) Stay posted, we'll continue the fishing insanity with reports soon!!!
Kokanee Season is Over!!!!!
It's been great folks! Tons of fish tons of laughs, highs and lows and everyone had a great time. Great job and thanks to all who made this an incredible season!! Get ready for Lake Powell- It's still summer there and the fishing is exploding!!!!!!!!!!

Captains’ Log
Hey Folks, this is Captain Casey, owner and head guide of Blue Mesa Fishing. We love fishing Blue Mesa Reservoir and do it with a passion to catch more and bigger fish and give clients a memorable guided fishing experience on every trip. Here at Blue Mesa Fishing we do many kinds of guided fishing trips from Lake Trout fishing during ice out in the spring, to kokanee salmon trolling in the summer and jigging in the fall. After the kokanee salmon leave the lake, we focus on fly fishing the secluded waters of the Lake Fork arm of the Gunnison River and Cebolla Creek. We also offer guided ice fishing trips from Blue Mesa Reservoir to Rifle Gap State Park in Western Colorado. Here at Blue Mesa Fishing, we try to catch throughout the entire year and offer a variety of ways to do it. If you’re interested in a trip, look through any of our packages, or just read through our site to learn how you can catch more and bigger fish in Colorado. Thanks again for checking us out and visit our three new sites found at the bottom of each page! Fish On
